Milan, 23 November 2020, EFPA presents ESG Advisor, a new certificate for sustainable finance.

Financial advisors’ technical skills have always been at the core of EFPA’s business. Even in this trying time of social distancing, EFPA has continued issuing new certificates, and has invited local EFPAs to accredit new webinars, continuous professional development trainings and exam preparation courses. These activities aim both to allow certificate holders to update their skills and everyone else to obtain EFPA certificates.

As ESG issues become more and more crucial to finance, EFPA has enhanced its offering with a new certificate called EFPA ESG Advisor. It gives a comprehensive view of ESG topics and addresses all professionals interested in gaining solid knowledge of sustainable finance in order to support their clients in designing their investment portfolio.

“The goal we’re pursuing with this new certificate is to broaden our range of training services by giving professionals a chance to learn more about sustainable investments, so that they can properly advise clients on such relevant and important issues,” explains Emanuele Carluccio, Chairman of EFPA.

“Moreover,” he goes on, “this new certificate is also available for financial advisors who do not necessarily hold an EIP, EFA or EFP EFPA certificate yet. It is a great opportunity for them to build on their technical skills and join the large family of EFPA certified professionals.”

EFPA has issued over 65,000 certificates in 12 countries so far, including Luxembourg and Israel, which joined the association in the past year.

“At the end of 2020, we’ll have registered a remarkable growth,” adds Carluccio, “with 10,000 more certified professionals overall.”
