Marina Maghelli, EFP
The reasons that led me to get the EFA certification in 2003 and the EFP certification in 2009 were mainly two. Firstly, attending a high education course that would have certainly brought me to a greater professional role. Secondly, being part of a group of professionals even outside Italy, sharing values and knowledge at European level.
Overtime, all cultures have devoted studies and resources to the creation and sharing of knowledge, by forging a new consciousness. In my opinion, this is one of the tasks of financial advisors, dealing not only with financial planning, but also with the transfer of the financial culture. Certifications help safeguard investors, because they guarantee high professional and ethical standards.
For the advisor, they prove their professional skills and knowledge certified by an independent body. Investors interacting with certified advisors interact with professionals who continue a steady training overtime. Nowadays, this is more and more important, given the greater complexity of clients’ needs and professionals’ ethic and requirements recognised at European level.
Certifications allowed me to manage very important assets, to be acknowledged as a trained and reliable professional by clients. I am proud to be certified and to be part of a community of professionals at European level.
