EFPA’s work on sustainable finance and ESG education of financial advisors

ESG is a key concern in finance these days no matter where in the ecosystem you find yourself. Here is what EFPA does to help ride the high wave of complex regulations and disclosure requirements:

  • EFPA educates financial advisors and other professionals through our dedicated ESG Advisor program, through which they can get practical and concrete knowledge and learn to look at the right information and interpret it, guiding the clients in their ESG investment choices
  • EFPA translates current legislation into a step-by-step methodology to analyse data and manage a suitable portfolio
  • EFPA and its educational partners offer plenty of CPD choices to keep all of our certified advisors abreast of the trends and approaches related to ESG
  • EFPA runs at EU level and at local level periodical webinars to dissect underlying issues with the help of top-notch frontline practitioners. To find out about our next webinar, follow EFPA Europe and your local EFPA and sign up. To refer to 2022 and 2023 webinars including ESG topics, check out the videos.
  • 2023 EFPA Think Tank dedicated a special working group to the opportunities and problems behind ESG investing. Check out the Think-Tank executive summary to discover its conclusions.
  • EFPA SQC (Standards and Qualifications Committee) updates all EFPA certificates and training program requirements across the board, to include ESG-specific topics
  • We keep in touch with some of the frontline professionals and key academics working on the subject, to bring to our members continuously the most practical toolkit to learn to advise specifically on sustainable finance
  • We are aware that whirlwind regulation is hard to follow and it is our mission to help integrate effectively the sustainability factor into financial advice and into retail investment
  • EFPA will launch in 2024 a second-level educational program on ESG investment, to support professionals with solid understanding of the matter in drilling down further and adding extra value through their analysis and advice.
  • EFPA develops country-specific tools to identify gaps between educational demand and supply in sustainable finance, and then works towards filling the gaps.
  • EFPA seeks collaborations with other thought-leading institutions across Europe to work on joint programs and CPD to further ESG education in the financial sector, to the benefit of advisors and retail clients. Call us to learn more!
